Instant Teams Takes DC by Storm!

Our founders, Liza Rodewald and Erica McMannes, recently attended the Military Spouse Employment Summit held by Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) and USAA in the U.S. National Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC.  It was here, in our nation’s capital, that representatives from both the  business and military communities came together. Director of Military Spouse Programs for HOH, Brian Alvarado, shared  recent findings that, “Military spouses have long faced unemployment challenges with an unwavering unemployment rate of 22% to an estimated increase of 38% due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.” There were panel discussions and opportunities to share experiences, frustrations, and successes with regard to raising awareness of untapped talent who can fill the skills gap and be part of a solution to the “great reshuffle” of our country.  There has been a lot of movement over the past decade, but there is still a ways to go.

SOUTHERN PINES, NC — Instant Teams, a talent marketplace, is pleased to announce its newest addition to the leadership team. Chuck Brousseau joins Instant Teams as its Chief Operating Officer.  He will be responsible for helping scale the business following its recent venture capital Series A funding by Tiger Global.  He will work closely with the product organization and distribution team while ensuring the company’s operating model  matches anticipated growth.

Military Spouse Appreciation Day: The Work From Home Edition

There’s an abundance of military service recognition blanketing the month of May (rightfully so, it’s Military Appreciation Month, after all), including Military Spouse Appreciation Day. Every year, the Friday before Mother’s Day, this year, May 6, is reserved to highlight the amazingly resilient and talented military spouses working hard to support their families.
