Employee Spotlight: Meet Jerie Ann

Meet Jerie Ann, one of our Remote Team Members. Jerie Ann is a Program Assistant with the USO Military Transitions Program. She’s an Air Force veteran, military spouse, and working mom.

Jerie Ann’s Remote Journey

We’re thrilled to share another one of our team member’s stories. Jerie Ann served in the USAF for three years as an instructor before separating after having her first child. She quickly found that PCS’ing as a military spouse made finding a job in her career field difficult. She started working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, but her position was eventually eliminated.

Jerie Ann participated in Instant Teams’ SECO fellowship and eventually landed a remote position with the USO. In her role, Jerie Ann supports the USO Pathfinder Transition Program through event planning, social media support, webinars, and data analytics. Not only is she able to utilize her background in training and courseware development, but she’s able to support the military community.

“As a veteran and a military spouse, having the opportunity to work with a company that assists military members and their families is very rewarding,” says Jerie Ann. “I’m given opportunities to learn so many new programs that I would have never been introduced to if it wasn’t working with Instant Teams and the USO.”

Working remotely has given Jerie Ann and her family the flexibility they need – even while stationed OCONUS.

“Since joining the company, I’ve been more motivated to reach career goals without sacrificing the needs of my family. With the way the military works, change is always constant, and I was at a point in my career journey where I was having a difficult time finding a position that worked with those constant changes,” says Jerie Ann. “It also opened my eyes more to know my worth as an employee. I’ve been recognized for my abilities and contributions while being encouraged to pursue more professional growth opportunities.”
