Military spouse remote work is now allowable in Italy

Huge news for military spouses!

According to the United States Army Garrison Italy website states, “Dependents in Italy with a missione visa are now authorized to telework to U.S. employers.”

We’ll say it again: this is incredible news for military families and remote work opportunities for military spouses stationed in Italy! The SOFA has long been a barrier for overseas spouses. Existing agreements make it difficult for dependents to find jobs, especially remote work in their career fields.

“We’re thrilled to see this news,” says Instant Teams Founder and Chief People & Community Officer Erica McMannes. “Remote work can be life-changing for military families, especially those stationed overseas. This is another pivotal step towards lowering the military spouse unemployment rate and improving the financial stability of military families.”
